One of the largest model railways in the world, the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany covers over 68,000 square feet of floor space, with 12,378 square feet taken up by the model alone.
The exhibit includes 890 trains made up of over 11,000 carriages, over 300,000 lights, 215,000 trees and 200,000 human figurines. Wow!
With different cities and countries replicated in the model, including Austria, America, Switzerland, the Kniffingen Airport (modeled after the Hamburg International Airport), Italy and more, the railway is jaw-dropping.
